liv, you have inspired me:

it occured to me that some of my favorite memories of my entire life have taken place during the summer, at my grandmother's house

one of them took place this summer.
we had spent all day at the beach

well, most of the day, actually, a lot of the day took place sitting in the biggest traffic jam i have ever been in. i'm talking so slow that my sister got out of one of the cars we were using and ran back to get into the car that i was in.
that's how slow it was

anyways
we had been at the beach for most of the day
and we were driving home, me, my sister, my mom and my youngest aunt
we stopped by the ocean.
the real ocean
not a cove or a bay or some protected area
but the real ocean.

the waves weren't big
at least, not as big as they usualy are there,
but we walked down the beach
admiring the sand sculptures
gabe, you'll like this, one person had written EMO in the sand with a skull next to it (tho skull implies more of a pirate to me, maybe they were talking about emo pirates)

katy and i were walking in the sand
where the waves were hitting it
and we felt the water
it wasn't all that cold
for the real ocean

we looked at eachother
and had the same thought at exactly the same time
we were still wearing out bathing suits under our jeans
so we pulled off our jeans and plunged in
running headfirst into the waves
laughing and having the time of our lives
my mom came in too
leaving my aunt standing on the shore holding our clothes
and yelling at us to come back out
while we were yelling at her to come in
she never swims

we said we'd only go in for about 5 minutes
we ended up spending 45
oh well
sometimes that's what you need

another of my favorite memories
was also at my grandmother's house

i was in the driveway with my cousin, his dad (my uncle for all of you unable to figure that out)
and my oldest aunt
we had just gotten some of those water noodles
you know what i'm talking about, those brightly colored foamy tubes
perfect for beating people over the head with?
well that's what we started doing

i was on my cousin's back
and he had a noodle
my aunt had one
as did my uncle

it was two against one
and the one had a handicap--that would be me--clinging around his neck and screaming with laughter right in his ear

my cousin was being wacked on both sides when suddenly he backs into a bush, slips while trying to avoid it, and falls down on the pavement.
as he was falling, my aunt had somehow managed to get her noodle hooked in his shorts
so right as he fell down, his shorts came almost all the way off
leaving him lying in the middle of the driveway in his boxers being choked by me and threatened by further beatings with the noodles

poor david
how embarassing for him

( i would just like you all to know that i cracked myself up while i was writing this
god i'm so wierd sometimes)

lighten up

god, have you ever woken up
and looked out your window
and there's been a perfect blanket of compleatly unbroken snow?

well i haven't

the dogs have already ruined it

but it always looks beautiful anyway

and it always makes me feel that maybe we can save this poor old world after all.

i mean let's face
she can't really do much for herself anymore
so we have to help her. like we'll help support our parnets one day.
except that she's about 1 billion plus years older than they'll be
still, she's our mother and we have to help her

i wouldn't say that the world is dark
i say that we've made it dark
and if it's our knot then who better to untie it???
that's right, US!!!

people say that the world isn't a beautiful place anymore
well, i'm sorry but i beg to differ
it's beautiful all the time
there's even a certain beauty about cities
at night when all the lights are on.

just try to make the world a better place, ok?
for me?
try?
thanks man, i appreciate it

appreciate what we have
look out the window at the snow
it looks like it's dancing along to some music that none of us can hear
now that's beautiful

confused

may i just say
blogs may be some of the most confusing things i've ever read
they're supposed to be where you can just spill everything you're feeling
well if everyone's doing just that
half of my best friends are emo

i'm sorry but that's what it seems like

for instance, emo boy?
i don't know if it's just you
but if all emo guys are like you
i know exactly what to look for in a guy
because you are pretty damn romantic
which is a good thing

i think the thing is that people think that they have to write these deep things
and that's ok sometimes
i'm sure that everybody has their deep moments
but not everything you write has to be about love, life, crying, sorrow, joy and the universe
write about everyday stuff

that's where the good stuff is.

everyone's talking

so, it seems like everyone else has at least one blog about the weather so i figure i should too

i happen to love the rain
i don't know about the rest of you
but sun only seems to fit in with a certain bubbly mood
i love the rain because it works with everything
you can be viciously sad
with tears pouring down your face
and you can be overjoyed,
and go outside
spin around
and let the raindrops hit your face

rain is like that favorite pair of sneakers
that go with absolutly everything

and yes, you can quote me on that, if you must

what now?

you used to tell me i was pretty

without me having to ask

now you don't. can't. won't?

you used to hug me at all the right times

it felt good right down to my toes

now you don't. can't. won't?

you used to listen

and it seemed like everything i said mattered

now you don't. can't? won't?

you used to care

about every little thing

now you don't.

or do you?

here we go

whoa
ok,
so yeah
this is like
my first time
...blogging that is (for all of you out there who have those nice perverted minds)
so just bear with me here

actually if you don't like it i don't even care
because this is my place to spill so...
if you don't like it
you will just have to deal
